Welcome and good of you to stop by. I should probably let you know upfront that I’m a bit of an over sharer, so bear with me please.
Rhodesian (Zimbabwean) born, South African raised, and Australian now, I’ve spent the better part of the last two decades in retail – much of it as a retail planner. When we came to this beautiful country, we made the decision as a family that I would stay at home with our young children. Those five years flew by, in a blur of paint and playdough and before I knew it, they were at school and I had to put my restless hands to good use.
After a stint back working a ‘real job’ the incurable maker in me was drawing me towards creating and make things. A rather lucky encounter introduced me to the world of beeswax wraps. My first thought, was that I needed to figure out how to make them … my second was, how did I live without them all this time.
After a lot of mess, a few tears, several recipe tweaks, and a lot of determination I found myself here and I am loving it.
Making and using them has changed how we think about, our waste and use of single use plastics. A small change, has become just what we do and has rippled down into every aspect of our lives. So that’s it in a nutshell really, and I do thank you for stopping by.
Our wraps are all handmade here in Melbourne and hope you enjoy using them as much as I love making them.
